Collection of Original Issues of
the Hewlett-Packard Journal Just Completed

The last missing original issue in our collection was the December, 1949, Volume 1, Number 4. The collection is now completed, thanks to Glenn Robb for this wonderful gift. Scans of the four pages of this journal are shown below.

Another very useful contribution for an efficient usage of the collection was made last year by Kenneth Kuhn. The copies of three Hewlett Packard Journal index donated by Ken completed our collection. These index are a major help for our daily work, searching archive, constructing this Web Site and growing the Memory Project.
The HP Journal index was separate publication from the origin in 1949 up to September 1977. Starting in1978, the index became an insert published each year in the December issue of the Hewlett-Packard Journal.

The HP Journal Index gives the following classification of the published articles:

• Chronological index.
• Subject index.
• Related Instrument Model Number index.
• An Author index was added starting from the volume 25, September, 1973.
